General information

Application: Use as a protein supplement for all kinds of culture media in ART methods

Storage conditions and duration: Store in a refrigerator at 2-8°C and away from light. This product can be used up to 12 months after production (if the sterile packaging is not opened).

Considerations for waste disposal: It should be done according to the laboratory waste disposal instructions.

Ingredients: This product contains human serum albumin with a concentration of 100 mg/ml ( ) in a sterile saline solution.

instructions

The functionality of the following protocol is shown for and this protocol is provided only as an example:

1- About 8-12 hours before using the culture medium, mix the required volume of the medium and HSA (100 mg/ml) in a safe container for the fetus to achieve the desired concentration of the protein supplement.
2- For example, a mixture of 9 ml of culture medium with 1 ml of HSA (100 mg/ml) will have a final concentration of 10 mg/ml of HSA. For all culture mediums with bicarbonate buffer, before use, the above mixture should be conditioned in an incubator with optimal CO2 concentration for 8-12 hours. But in environments containing HEPES buffer, there is no need to be exposed to CO2.

Warnings

1- The user must read this manual completely and receive the necessary training before using the product.
2- This product cannot be used for injection into the body.
3- Do not re-sterilize the product.
4- Avoid using the product if you see the following:
- Presence of damage in sterile packaging
- The expiration date has passed
- Color change, turbidity or the presence of suspended particles or sediment.
5- This product is one of the derivatives of human blood and during the production process, it has been heated at 60°C for 10 hours.
6- When using this product, in order to prevent contamination, aseptic methods should be used.
7- This product can be used safely up to 7 days after opening the sterile package.

Note: In most cases, the concentration of CO2 in the incubator at the rate of 5-7% will lead to the pH of the culture medium being in the accepted range of 7.2-7.4. However, fine-tuning the CO2 concentration to achieve an approximate pH of 7.3 (7.33 - 7.27) as the optimal pH depends on several factors, including the physical characteristics of the incubator and geographical altitude. As a result, it is recommended that each laboratory calculate the CO2 concentration required to achieve the optimal pH of 7.3 in the culture medium.
